Oldroyd Xv 20 has a higher stud profile (20 mm) than our Oldroyd Xv Clear and Oldroyd Xv Black Membranes. This allows for greater flow capacity behind the membrane than can be achived using cavity drainage membranes with a lower stud height.
Oldroyd Xv 20 is most typically used on floors, particularly on larger basement waterproofing projects. However it can also be used on walls.
Because Oldroyd Xv 20 acts to form both a barrier and a void it provides a simple method of achieving “full radon protection” as defined in BR211.
Sections of Oldroyd Xv 20 can be joined using Oldroyd double-sided tape. Where a double-seal is required (e.g. radon protection) Oldroyd overseal tape can be used to provide an additional seal.
Typical areas of application include:
- Internal basement waterproofing
- Contiguous piling / diaphagm walls
- Radon & ground gas protection
- Tunnels
