Dryzone Mould-Resistant Emulsion Paint 5L is a premium-quality anti mould paint for protecting against the growth of unsightly black mould on walls and ceilings – even where there is persistent condensation. It is available in brilliant white and magnolia in a “soft sheen” finish.

Dryzone System Mould Resistant Emulsion Paint combines modern paint technology with advanced paint film protection, resulting in effective mould resistance for at least 5 years. The paint contains a small amount of locked-in biocide to ensure its mould-resistance. The resulting surface is also fully washable.

Application

Application for Dryzone Mould Resistant Emulsion Paint 5L:

Preparation

Preparation is straightforward and very similar to normal good decorative practice.

  1. Put down dust sheets before work begins
  2. Remove any loose material such as old paint, grease, dirt, mould or defective wallpaper
  3. If mould is present, thoroughly clean the area using Dryzone 100 Mould Remover. Avoid sanding the mould area to reduce spreading of spores.
  4. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  5. For glossy surfaces lightly abrade the surface with abrasive paper avoiding inhalation of dust and wearing suitable personal protective equipment (face mask, gloves, safety spectacles etc).
  6. If necessary, apply an appropriate primer or sealer. For new or porous plaster surfaces use Dryzone Mould Resistant Emulsion Paint thinned up to 10 % with clean tap water as normal good practice. Allow to dry thoroughly. New plasterwork should be allowed to dry for 7 – 14 days before applying any paint finish.

Application

Apply Dryzone Mould-Resistant Emulsion Paint using brush or roller.

  1. Ensure the area is well ventilated. Stir thoroughly before use.
  2. Apply two coats of Dryzone Mould-Resistant Emulsion Paint. Allow the first coat to dry fully before applying the second coat.
  3. Each coat will typically be touch dry after 2 – 4 hours depending on temperature, humidity and airflow.
  4. The surface temperature during application should be between 10 – 25°C
  5. Clean equipment with clean tap water before the paint dries.
  6. Dryzone Mould-Resistant Emulsion Paint should not be covered with any other paint or wallpaper.
